从流出的TPO40-48的阅读文章我们不难看出相对TPO1-34前者更注重段落信息群整体理解，如TPO43 EI Nino (请忽略小意思版TPO中此文的大量拼写错误)涉及的西向洋流运动及TPO47 Termite Ingenuity 描述的白蚁蚁巢通风；而细节信息的考察，部分题目在原文中的信息点分散分布，表达隐晦，对考生提出了更高的要求。
下面我们以TPO46一道事实信息题来说明：
The commercial revolution also provided the opportunity for thousands of agricultural workers to improve their social position. The slow but steady transformation of European society from almost completely rural and isolated to relatively more urban constituted the greatest effect of the commercial revolution that began in the eleventh century. 本题从题干看，几乎没有可用于定位的关键词。题干中“the commercial revolution between ad 1000 and 1300” 充斥全篇，段落中有3处“commercial revolution/changes”及1处“eleventh through fourteenth centuries”，且这些句子均无法帮助我们解题。
习惯定位法的同学此时会在在选项中找提示词。从相对短的4个（或小于4个）选项向相对长的段落去匹配（短对长匹配）的缺点这里暂不赘述，本题即使定到位，仅精读对应的句子仍不足以解题。
此题难点在于第1，2信息群所表述信息有较强粘性，正确选项A对应的倒数第2句里nobility and churchman与commercial revolution的关系需要第3句Even so… Flanders.做铺垫和对比，而这句几乎无法被定位到。
而习惯多读文章的同学在读段落过程中会发现段落被两个转折词even so和however分成了3个信息群，本题关键出现在第2个信息群处。读完第1，2信息群及*个转换点even so 后即可挑出正确选项A。
本题虽属事实信息题，但很难用定位法解出，更多考察了考生对大段信息群的理解，然后才是细节的捕捉与把握。当然大部分考生可按期待分数对题目做一定取舍，个别冲高分的考生则可调整整体解题方式。
当然，熟悉欧洲史的同学也可直接排除BC(文章时间点位于Renaissance之前)，大大降低解题难度（选项D易排除）。
